Following is a list of tools and glues I suggest you have, if possible. I do have some extras- and I will have tool sets available for you to borrow should you not have your own favorites yet- but in the event you do, please bring them.

So, here is the list as I have it so far:

_____________________________________________________

Tools:

your favorite sculpting tools
scalpel
scissors for fabric
scissors for crafts-- if you don't use your fabric scissors for cutting other things
pen, pencil
small plastic bowl, like a Cool Whip bowl
heat gun
soldering iron
extension cord
small wire cutters
small needle nose pliers
2 hemostats
tweezers
paint brushes for painting, sizes 2 or 4, and 6, shaders, filbert, flats, whatever you have

Glues:

Lock Tite gel type super glue- Walmart for about 2.50
Ultimate white glue by Crafter's Pick- Michaels, about 3.00
Fabri-Tac fabric glue- Walmart about 4.00
_____________________________________________________

If you don't have, or can't get Ultimate glue in your area, get the Tacky glue in the purple bottle- Fast Grab by Aleene's, also available at Walmart. I also suggested Gem Tac earlier, and that is a fantastic glue too- but if you don't have it- we can use these other brands.

Please mark all your tools with your name so we don't get them mixed up. This was Rocky Laurie's idea and it's a great idea!!!

Here is a photo of some of the items so you can see what I am talking about.

We will also use hair dryers but I imagine some of you will have them anyway- and some heat guns have low settings so that works too. The soldering gun is optional, please don't go and buy one if you don't have one. We can share those. The same is true for the other tools, don't buy them if you don't have them- we can work that out. I do have extras of most things. <!-- D(["mb","

As Loretta already told you, there will be fabrics and trims, etc for you to choose from. Knowing Kelly and her access to these things, there will no doubt be more than you could ever imagine possible in fabrics and selection. That said, however, if you have a clear vision or specific idea for your fairy, please bring whatever you would want to use. We may not have what you have in mind.

Same is true for mohair or lamb. I have several colors of Tibetan lamb dyed for our retreat- plenty for everyone- but they are all natural colors- I do not have any fantasy colors dyed. Here again, if you have a specific idea for your fairy, you might want to bring that mohair as well. We will also have samples of viscose, and if time allows, we can work with that a bit too. In our session I will be working with the lamb.

In case you missed it on adsg, I would like you to have two holes in the back of your fairy, made with a 1/16' drill bit, or 2 short pieces of 16 ga wires baked into the back of the fairy. This allows us to have a good fit for the wings- at least for the way I will demonstrate in our session.

Please dress comfortably for the sessions- it will be long days for all of us- and it will fly by. We want you to be comfortable!!! No fuzzy clothes though- too many fibers floating around.

Please drop me a note if you have any questions--I am really looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hugs,
Deb

<div\>
Deb Wood * Enchanted Hearts *
<em\>"The purpose of art isn't to make a living.
